UPDATE:
(Starlight has decided to withdraw their decision. Wheee~! Back to the old format! No more locked moths to be released at staggered intervals. All moths will be available at the start of the event.)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What is a Locked Moths format?
This means that each moth in the event set will only be released when a certain period has lapsed. For example, the 1st moth will be available immediately, the 2nd will be released a day after, and we will wait a few more days for the 3rd moth and so on.

So how does this affect us?
The Pros:
As we get a staggered release for each moth, we can have a breather as the event starts. There is no need to rush or jump into the game immediately since the rest of the moths will only be released later.
The Cons:
Once the final moth gets unlocked, that's where the real deal kicks in. Wisps and flowers for the last legendary moth are the rarest, and a staggered release makes it even harder for players to perfect the last moth since we now have a shorter amount of time to farm the flowers.
Tips for Wisps Events with Locked Moths Format
1) Check when the next moth will be released BEFORE tapping on the Wisp Mother or using a Wisp Decoration Ability
If it says "Soon" on your Flutterpedia, it means that the next moth will be released in less than an hour. You may want to hold off releasing wisps from the Wisp Mama for a little while till flowers for the next moth are available.
The same applies to using a Wisp Decoration Ability. Check for the next moth release before hurrying the Wisp Mama, duplicating or capturing a wisp for sure.
Sometimes the Admins and players in Flutter DYNASTY will post reminders so you don't miss out on a release.
2) It is okay to slack off in the beginning, but not after the last 2 moths are unlocked!
3) Save resources for the final copies of the last moth
In my previous guide for Wisp Events, I mentioned that we should "Work Backwards" and focus at pooling our resources for completing the last moth first. Well, that is now obviously impossible, but we can improvise our strategies to combat this event.
It is important to note that the deciding factor which determines if we can complete an event on time, is not only the last moth, but how fast we can grow the 5th copy of the last moth.
Therefore, we should not only save resources for the last moth, but rather save our important decoration abilities for our final copies of the last moth.
This not only includes Egg Layers, but Egg, Chrysalis and Caterpillar Hurriers as well. If you only have 1 Egg Hurrier, make sure it will be ready when you get your final egg.
4) Know accurately how much time is available while planning when to use your Egg Layers
If you are planning to save your Egg Layers so you can use them on your last day, make sure you know for sure when the event ends so you not only have ample time to let it recharge beforehand, but you can also buffer for some time to grow your caterpillar up. It is always good to plan ahead, but it is crucial to be careful while doing so.
Events usually end the same time it started, most of them begin and end at 2PM PST. Do note that you do NOT have the full 24 hours of the last day marked on your calendar. For players who are ahead in timezones, the event will end off in the early morning, so do not be tricked into thinking that you have that extra day to use your Egg Layers!

All the best and Good Luck for the upcoming Rosa Event~!
