'Cancel' Time: Stop Accidental Purchases!

Supposedly one day you are dozing off after a days work, or you are not paying attention to what you are doing. You open up Starlight and go about doing your daily business. As you look elsewhere, you suddenly tap on the 'Lay Egg' button by accident and poof~! You have just spent a chunk of your Glowbucks unintentionally! T_T

Don't we all hate losing Glowbucks to accidental purchases?

Well, there is a feature called 'Cancel' Time in both Starlight and Flutter, that helps to prevent you from blowing a hole in your pocket.


What is 'Cancel' Time and why is it important?

Basically, it is a cooldown timer that gives us a few seconds to cancel any purchases that we have clicked on. If the time is up and you didn't recall the purchase, the game takes it as a confirmation that you wish to spend your in-game currency. However, if you click on 'Cancel' before the timer ends, your purchase is voided and your Glowbucks are safe. Therefore, 'Cancel' Time is important to prevent any accidental purchases that we may have clicked on by mistake.

The only downside from this feature, is that you will have to wait slightly longer to confirm any purchases that you wish to make. This is why Runaway lets us set our buffer periods, and for players who prefer quick, fast paced and 'no wait' gameplay, they can disable this option totally.


How to enable 'Cancel' Time and adjust the buffer period in Starlight?

1) Open up the game menu by clicking on the Gear icon, usually on the top left corner of your screen. 

2) Go to Settings tab by clicking on the double gear icon.

3) Look for the 'Cancel' Time option and drag the slider bar to adjust the cooldown period. I usually keep it at maximum. Better safe than sorry!

You have now activated your 'Cancel' Time! All (or most) Glowbuck purchases will require a cooldown wait before they are can be processed.

Some players have reported that their 'Cancel' Time is reset with each update / game installation, so be sure to check back sometimes to see if you are protected.
