Core Sets: Save Your Attraction Flowers Via Combinations

Identifying Attraction Flower Combinations

It is possible to attract certain species of moths from core sets without using all 3 types of attraction flowers. This is done by reviewing the flower combinations and picking out the ones that stand alone from the others.

The best example would be the #80 Promethea Silkmoth from the Mythic Set. So far it is the only Legendary moth in the entire Flutterpedia. If you only place a 100% Legendary flower on your incubator, while ignoring flowers for its region and size, you will get the Promethea Silkmoth right off the bat! (Update: With the introduction of new core sets, certain moths will no longer be guaranteed via combinations.)

To see which flower combinations are required for each moth, click on the moth in the Flutterpedia.

Here are other possible combinations in Starlight that requires 2 flower types or less.

  • #5 Scarlet Phaudid - Hoshi Common Small
  • #8 Coppery Dysphania - Hoshi Rare Medium
  • #15 Sweet Potato Hornworm - Hawkmoth Common Large
  • #15 Sweet Potato Hornworm - Hawkmoth Common Large

  • #24 Pink-striped Oakwoem Moth - Apoyo Rare Medium

If you are a beginner who has yet to unlock the rest of the core sets, you're in luck because the 2 moths listed below have unique combinations due to a reduced number of moths available.
  • Flutterpedia Score 450- 3990: #124 Marama Epic Large
  • Flutterpeida Score 450 - 3990: #125 Marama Legendary Large
  • Flutterpedia Score 0 - 790: #15 Sweet Potato Hornworm - Hawkmoth Common Large
  • Flutterpedia Score 800 - 1490: #13 Garden Tiger Moth - Silva Epic Medium (without Apoyo #25)

The same theory applies for the Apoyo set where moths unlock at different Social levels.
  • Level 10 - 19: #22 Venezuelan Poodle Moth - Apoyo Common Small

Lacking Region Flowers?

Don't have enough Region flowers for your next attraction? You may want to gamble on a random attraction with Rarity and/or Size flowers only. The success rate may not be guaranteed, but it still raises the odds of getting the particular moth you want.

Good luck at saving precious flowers from your flora inventory~!
