Premium Decorations: Are They Useful?

Considering that moths in Starlight do not have abilities, this is quite a nifty addition to the game! However looking at the prices of these decos, it might take some time before anyone can collect them all. So if you are a semi-FTP player who wants to make the most out of your Glowbucks / money, this is the prefect review for you. I will be ranking these Premium Decorations in the order of their usefulness, from the least useful to the best buy.

Well... the term "usefulness" is pretty subjective, so let me clarify by saying that the word "useful" here means the deco can help you to gain something to make progress in your game which you otherwise would not be able to. Just assume that this review is written from the perspective of a stingy-ass player who always want to squeeze blood out of stone. They are just my opinions, feel free to disagree. :)

No. 6

Parrot Flower

This is deco ranks at the bottom in terms of usefulness because it doesn't even give you a single honeydew coin, but it is the most Fun to have deco in the whole set~! This guy lets you customise your pollen flowers the way you want them to be. Apparently the colours of pollen flowers in your forest are randomly assigned when you unlock them, so this ability lets you fix that by rotating it among a series of colours, once every 5 days. I am not sure of the specific order yet, so I will update again when I discover them all~!

Moon Orchid

No matter how people criticise that this deco is stinking useless, this flower is my ABSOLUTE favourite. Not only I am a stingy-ass player, I am also a lazy-ass person! This deco helps you to harvest honeydew from moths which are ready for collection with a cool down of 4 hours (you need to activate the ability manually yourself), and I am SO GLAD that Runaway added this feature! Imagine when you wake up in the morning and open up your game, especially on a tiny phone screen, you need to click... click... click... click...click... move to another forest section... click... click... cli... whoops thats a misclick... reclick...  arghh misclicked again...  ***flips table***

And yeps, normal fireflies still spawn as normal when you use this ability, and when they all appear at the same time you get an explosive sound effect! TADAA~! xD

No. 4

Red Slipper

If you have pretty good time management skills, you need not rely on this at all. Eventually, you will achieve the same results when your caterpillar hatches from the egg. AND it costs $$$ too! 

However, this deco may just save your life one day, when you are running low on time during an exclusive moth event. It is also a little appealing to casual players who just can't wait for their babies to hatch. In future, if Runaway releases challenging events in which players are required to rush through time, this deco may finally see light and rise up the ranks.

Singing Orchid

Finally a deco from the Premium set that actually gives you stuff! Yay for free coins... wait what? That's it?

It seems like if you use this ability normally, you can gain an extra few thousand coins per day. Oh wells, considering that you need to be a zillionare to fully unlock your forest, we can't say no to extra coins can we?

Well... that is if you use it normally. Do not underestimate the power of stingy-ass players! If you make a hoard of legendary moths fly in circles around the same spot, you can trigger more harvests with this ability! Muahahaha~! Tho after that I got extremely lazy and can't be bothered to do it again. Zzzzz...

Red Plumeria

A.K.A The Chopper. It clears one-fifth of an expansion foliage, meaning that it only takes away 1 out of 5 leafs required to fully open a spot. This helps when it feels like it is going to take foreverrrrrrrr to fully expand your forest, although some might argue that you will get there eventually. There is no need to rush to hoard an army of Red Plumerias because once you have maxed out your forest, they become useless instantly. 

And finally.... *drumroll*... The King of all Decorations!

Star Lotus

Like its name, this gorgeous fellow is a star among the other decos! This flower simply floats in all our drools, mainly due to its pricetag that could potentially hypnotize anyone into an instant noodles diet for the rest of the week.

Needless to say, this deco is perfect for perfecting any moth, especially flutters from the limited edition event sets or the Zodiac collection. 

Sigh... Ramen anyone?
