Lunar Moths Cycle & How To Get Lunar Flowers

How do I know which Lunar moth is available for attraction right now?

1) Refer to this chart below to see all Lunar moths and their corresponding moon phases.

Click on the chart to enlarge it

Do note that both the Io Moth & Luna Moth are available for attraction once a month. Each New Moon or Full Moon lasts for 24 hours, so you will have to wait for the next month if you miss it!

2) Check your flora inventory to confirm which Lunar moth will incubate whenever you want to use your attraction flowers. The name of the moth will be displayed when you click on the Lunar flower. It will also state the current moon phase.

Other indicators of Moon Phases in Starlight

1) The moon in the background will always display the current moon phase.

New Moon in the night sky

2) The moon phase will also be displayed when you set Lunar flowers on your incubator.

Put a Lunar flower on your incubator to check the moon phase

3) All moon phases are listed together with their dates in the calendar. It follows the actual Lunar cycle in the real world, so you can always look up in the night sky to check on the moon even when you are offline! xD

The calendar is a pretty handy feature to see what are the upcoming Lunar phases so you can plan ahead accordingly. You don't want to miss out attracting your legendary Lunar moths on the next Full Moon / New Moon!

How do I get free Lunar Flowers?

1) Firefly Treats
The most common way of getting Lunar attraction flowers is by feeding Trevor with firefly treats. The drops are random but should get lucky from time to time.

2) Firefly Delicacies
Toad delicacies have a slightly higher chance of dropping Lunar flowers, but they come at a cost if you do not have the Halloween Exclusive Black Bat Flower. Do read up about toad delicacies here to understand how they work in the game.

3) Daily Shop Deals
Lunar flowers are sometimes sold in the shop at the Daily Deals. They can be bought with honeydew coins (or Glowbucks).

Good luck earning that beautiful Deluxe Moonflower decoration!

Send More Extra Free Gifts With Your Gift Resetter!

Before I start, I need to highlight that the following method I am introducing requires you to pay Glowbucks. Therefore it may not be very 'FTP' friendly, and the results will depend on how much you are willing to spend.

I would also like to add that information is accurate at the time of publication, and I am in no way responsible for your loss of Glowbucks if you fail to execute this properly, or if Runaway changes things in future, so do approach this with caution.

So... what is this juicy tip that I am about to share with you guys?

Activating a Gift Resetter's ability and leaving your game running past midnight will allow you to re-gift the amount of gifts you have sent out on the previous day.

This means that if you sent 5 + 5 free gifts with your Gift Resetter, you will be able to send a total of 10 gifts when the day resets at midnight.

However, let's say that you spent 10 Glowbucks to send another 5 gifts on top of the 5 + 5 free gifts. This means that you sent 15 gifts in total (5 free, 5 from a Gift Resetter, 5 paid with Glowbucks). When the clock resets at midnight, you should see that you will be able to send 15 free gifts!

What happens if you spend more Glowbucks and send 50 gifts in total? Well yes, you can send 50 more for free the next day! That's right, the more you spend, the more you can send!

Let me repeat that this method will ONLY work if you have activated a Gift Resetter ability, and you let your game run past midnight.

Do that note that this method will NOT work if:

  1. You reload the game after midnight
  2. You do not have enough friends on your list that are able to receive a gift. (The amount of free gifts you can send will then be reduced to how many friends are available on your list.)
Make sure that you do your math and be extra careful! Check that your system will not kill your app even if you try to leave it running in the background without closing it.

All the best with your quest to unlock all Apoyo moths~!

It is almost a year since Starlight was released, and when April beckons, some of the older players may be able to complete their entire Zodiac set!

Wow, time really flies huh. xD

If you are a fairly new player and want to know how the Zodiac moths look like, you can visit this page to see all of them. (SPOILERS ALERT! Do not click on the link if you do not want to be spoiled.)

All the moths are aligned to their star sign, so you can easily find out which moth is representing your Zodiac sign~! Enjoy~!
